Her work with couples includes using Emotionally Focused Therapy which proves to be particularly beneficial for couples who seek counselling while experiencing emotional turmoil or when they feel so estranged that they doubt the possibility of repairing their relationship. This may manifest as severe anger, fear, sadness, withdrawal, a breakdown of trust, or feelings of betrayal within their partnership. Liz provides a supportive, collaborative, and non-judgmental space for clients to explore their concerns, enhance their self-awareness, and recognize their inherent strengths and capabilities.
Liz offers counselling sessions either in person or via telehealth, using video conferencing or phone. She uses a range of therapeutic modalities, which draws primarily from interpersonal psychotherapy, family systems and attachment and emotionally focused therapies. Liz values the uniqueness of each of her clients and their journeys and recognises the importance of individualised and collaborative treatment plans.
Liz is respectful of the identity, culture and deeply held values and meaning of life that others may hold, and she journeys alongside people of all belief systems and faiths.
