Professional Experience
Jess has held various roles professionally, including trauma support for people affected by the Disability Royal Commission and counselling for carers of people who have long-term medical conditions, live with mental illness or disability, or who are frail due to age. Jess has been sought by organisations and churches to run educational and interactive workshops on areas such as grief and mental health.
Faith-Based Experience
Jess initially pursued counselling in the context of her involvement in pastoral ministry at her local church. She felt privileged to bear witness to another’s story and felt a ‘heart-pull’ towards those who were seeking restoration and spiritual formation, particularly in areas of social injustice towards vulnerable women.
Jess also devoted 2 years to being trained as a ministry worker for women and young adults. Being part of multicultural missions and churches locally and in SE Asia has given her many opportunities to walk alongside many people from different faiths, cultures, and nations. Jess has been sought by churches to run educational and interactive workshops. She continues to be passionate about integrating faith in her therapy for those who seek it.
