Professional Experience
With over 30 years of experience in the education sector, Andrew Vidler is a highly skilled and qualified Registered Psychologist and School Counsellor who has worked across all levels of schooling, from preschool to Year 12.
Andrew holds a Master’s in Educational Leadership and a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, and is an AHPRA approved supervisor.
Throughout his career, Andrew has demonstrated expertise in psychological assessments, individual and group counselling, and evidence-based interventions for students with diverse mental health and learning needs. His work has involved developing and implementing strategies to support students experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, and learning disabilities.
In addition to his counselling role, Andrew has held leadership positions as Assistant Principal and Relieving Principal in schools, where he developed and implemented school-wide wellbeing initiatives, collaborated with staff on complex case management, and led teams of psychologists and counsellors. His leadership roles have included reducing student suspensions and improving educational outcomes for students with complex needs.
Andrew has also worked closely with external agencies such as Headspace, paediatricians, speech pathologists, and community support services to provide holistic care for students. His work focuses on building strong relationships with students, schools, and families to help each child reach their full potential.
