I began as a Drug and Alcohol counsellor and through my 15 years of counselling experience, I have been presented with a variety of complex issues from clients.

I have worked in a variety of organisations such as women's refuges, community centres, rehabilitation centres, the Hawkesbury District Health Service in Windsor NSW, the Royal Australian Air Force in Richmond NSW and recently Blacktown Alcohol and Other Drugs Family Services. I have worked in private practice for 6 years.

How I approach counselling and psychotherapy

My working philosophy is to help create stronger, functioning, cohesive societies, communities and families.

My mission statement is to assist individuals, families, communities and workers to: grow in empowerment; strengthen their skills and resilience; reduce stress; take responsibility for their own lives and actions; and manage addictive/harmful behaviours.

I have also undertaken professional training in Conflict Resolution, Child Sexual Assault (Child Protection) - Core Training and Interagency Response, Domestic Violence, Empowerment Therapy, Art and Play Therapy, Family Systems Therapy and Narrative Therapy.

Clients will receive professional and competent service and be treated with respect. Confidentiality and privacy will be maintained at all times.

• Graduate Diploma in Gestalt Therapy
• Masters of Counselling
• Bachelor of Social Science
• Certificate of Addictions Counselling

• Clinical Member - GANZ (Gestalt Australia & New Zealand )
• Clinical Member and Registered Supervisor - CCAA (Christian Counsellors Association of Australia)

Professional Standards

I receive on-going professional training each year and am supported by supervision on a regular basis to maintain my ethical and professional standards.

Fees

Sliding scale $80-140/hour, based on gross family income. If there are financial difficulties, generous concessions may be offered when you ring our office.
