Infidelity is one of the most painful experiences in life, not just for the betrayed spouse and their children, but also the extended family members, friends, and even the wayward spouse and the lover.
How can an affair happen?
In some cases, affairs happen unintentionally, “it just happened”. Affairs often start from a friendship, and not necessarily sexually, and are seen as an enlightenment to the unfaithful spouse and thus develop into an affair. The unfaithful spouse does not know what is missing in their marriage/relationship, until the affair reveals it to them. Normally, unfulfilled emotional needs are the major issue in the marriage/relationship.
