How I approach counselling and psychotherapy
There are three areas I work with clients:
- Helping clients to understand themselves better
- Working together with clients as a team to search the core of their issues
- Helping clients with a new approach to their issues
I am culturally sensitive to the needs of each client, working in a safe and supportive environment. Clients will receive professional and competence service and treated with respect. Confidentiality and privacy will be maintained at all times.
In giving supervision to other professionals, I believe that supervision is a place of growth for supervisees (personally and professionally) in a safe environment; and where appropriate, to challenge them in a positive and respectful way.
Professional Standard
I receive on-going professional training each year and am supported by supervision on a regular basis to keep my ethical and professional standards.
Fees
The counselling fees are a sliding scale of $100-$140, according to Gross Family Income, with a minimum of $120 for after hours appointments.
Cancellations or missed appointments
When clients give 48 hours notice of cancellation, it is generally possible to offer that appointment time to someone who is waiting.
Cancellation without due notice, as well as missed appointments, results in a loss of professional time for the Counsellor and a missed opportunity for the people waiting.
I trust you will understand the need to charge the agreed fee for each appointment time missed, where due notice was not given. |
