Bridges Counselling is a multi-disciplined team of about a dozen professional counsellors and psychologists, specialising in marriage, family and individual counselling.

On calling us, you speak with the centre manager, David Bridges. He will spend time to take your enquiry seriously. He will recommend the counsellor or psychologist best suited for you.

Your needs are important. Our team of 10 counsellors and psychologists provides the diversity to meet your needs - Registered Psychologists, Marriage Counsellors, Family Counsellors, Child and Adolescent Counsellors, Addiction Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

3. We are open evenings and Saturdays

You can see our counsellors each week day evening until about 9pm, and Saturdays - morning and afternoon.

Medical and psychological practices, at their worst, treat you like a disease to be labelled and treated. Instead, our starting point is to relate to you as a person with dignity. We start with respectfully understanding you as a person or a couple who may be carrying a difficult history.

7. We fully explain our professional background

You have the right to know that your counsellor is professional, successful at what they do, and right for you. Our team is highly qualified. See the Counsellors page for details of qualifications and professional memberships.

• All our counsellors have at least three years of professional counselling training. They are accountable to their professional counselling associations for their work.
• Most of our counsellors are listed on the PACFA Register at Clinical level, and are registered as Clinical members of their professional counselling associations.
• Our two psychologists are registered in NSW. They are also registered to offer Medicare Rebates under Mental Health Plans from a GP or medical professional.

8. Affordable fees

Standard sessions are one hour. The fee is per hour, whether one or more attend. Counselling starts at $35 for day appointments. Most counsellors have fees of around $80 to $100. After hours counselling with specialist counsellors or psychologists can range from $120 to $140. If you have financial difficulties, we may be able to offer you a special rate.

Clients with mental health disorders may be eligible for a Medicare Rebate through your GP. If there are financial difficulties, bulk billing may be offered to you.
